Hedgemaze Courtyard

Spread out over a vast expanse of well kept garden is a topiary courtyard. Edging the maze of walkways are waist-height hedges, adding structure to the splendor of the beautiful artwork that they protect. Scattered throughout the hedgemaze are large bushes trimmed into the shape of various animals and mythical beasts, each truly a work of art at its mastery. As with most of the gardens, the center of the courtyard is adorned with a large fountain, the outer rim of which is wide enough to be used as a seat if the benches do not strike the fancy of those seeking rest. © Hallie
